More to come...
INSTRUCTIONS
In order to listen to the sequences, you must have a MIDI player associated with the .mid
extension in your web browser. There are a multitude of MIDI players available such as Media Player which, if you are using Windows, should be found in your C:\windows directory with the file name mplayer.exe.
MIDI files sound best using either GM compatible synthesizers, sound modules or wavetable soundcards. If you don't have any of these, you can still get
very good sounds with a simple 16 bit soundcard, and the Yamaha SoftSynth. For more information, and to
download the free trial version, visit the Yamaha XG Page
For the very best results, I suggest the Roland M-GS64 or SC-88 Sound Modules. Both come with 32 MIDI
channels, 64 voice polyphony, and hundreds of great realistic sounds.
An extensive list of sequencers, MIDI players, and other music software can be found at the
MIDIWORLD
Software Library

For buying and selling musical instruments, synthesizers, sound modules, sound cards and other MIDI hardware, the best place to start is the

This site is organized by the style periods of classical music. To access one of the libraries, simply click on the style period you wish to browse. Once there, you will find entries organized in alphabetical order by the composers' last names. If you are looking for the works of a particular composer, you have two options. Click on the appropriate letter of the alphabet in the left column. This will drop you down to the composer's last name. Click on that name and you will be taken to the library or page where the composer's works are located. Once there, use the alphabetical list at the
top of the page to locate the composer. The second option is the Search Page, which will
locate the composer for you.
To listen to one of the sequences, click on the title of the selection you wish to hear. If you wish to save the sequence and are using
Netscape©, use the Load to Disk
feature or hold down the Shift Key while clicking on the title. In order to provide you with an
indication of download time, the size of each file is indicated.
Please don't use Netscape 4.0 as your browser, Netscape 4.00 is full of bugs.
I see all the time on my log files, how "Mozilla 4.0" is wandering aimlessly, looking for pages at the wrong places,
or trying to find pages not on this site. Netscape 3.03 or 3.04 can do everything you need with a lot less errors.
You can download the latest version of Netscape (4.04 at this time), at
Netscape's Download Site, it looks so much better.
If you would like to leave comments, suggestions or corrections, you can email a message to me by clicking this
